The Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California (OCC) and The Valley Breast Cancer Foundation (VBCF) are both separate non-profit 501 (c) 3 organizations actively focused on serving the women of the greater Los Angeles area who have been diagnosed with ovarian and/or breast cancer. The Ovarian Cancer Coalition of Greater California and the Valley Breast Cancer Foundation are partnering in the 24th annual Walk/Run to expand community support and educational opportunities. We believe that serving the women affected by ovarian and/or breast cancer as a ‘team’ greatly expands our reach. It also enables us to raise awareness regarding the genetics that so closely link the two diseases.

This annual Walk/Run, for the greater Los Angeles area, has a combined 24 year track record of uniting and educating the public on the signs and symptoms of ovarian and breast cancer. The funds raised at this event allow critical support for research, while providing diagnostic treatment and post-treatment services offered by the Valley Breast Cancer Foundation. In addition to raising funds for important ovarian and breast cancer based programs, the annual Walk/Run unites the community in support of those people who have been affected by these cancers.

The annual Walk/Run is a meaningful experience for survivors, their families, their friends and supporters. It is a fun-filled day with a Health Fair, which connects participants with educational resources focused on early detection methods and treatment opportunities. Many of these resources benefit the uninsured and under-insured women living in the greater Los Angeles area. The annual Walk/Run is supported by the best retailers, professionals and service providers in the health and wellness industry who understand the importance of participating in this inspirational event.
